one of the lord’s seven archangels, anael once tended to the garden of eden, initially the cupid bore from heaven; but as it were, heaven and its counterparts fell. anael assumed a life amongst mankind, childless and grief – addled, in which she harbored an unlikely intrigue in its humanities.

a much too merciful fallen angel, she employed a small web of monsters to then forge a network dedicated to aiding, or so they intended, the kind upon which they feed. the underground market, deemed “eden,” flourished beneath anael’s reign ⸻ but even creatures created perfect fall soon unto flaw.

corruption eventually plagued eden, striking pillars anael raised in one name or another; and as the market’s collapse crested, they began lending her own grace. in its absences, sweeter grace grew cruel and unkind, corrupt by a humanity once loved unconditional.
eden remains now as a mostly underground network of monster trade, manned by its own decorum, whilst grace wanders to lend itself whenever she deems valuable ⸻ stricken forevermore with a sense of mortality no other angelic being retains.

in late august of 2024, a woman by the name of jolene extends an invitiation to mary winchester from a declining ranch seated in monowi, nebraska; upon meeting, the former confesses herself a married–in campbell wedded to mary’s estranged brother ⸻ and confesses, too, the hardship she alone faces.

it’s decided without joshua that the ranch will be signed over to mary and later repurposed as an american men of letters’ headquarters, replacing the lebanon bunker as its main chapter.

the bsaa seek the men of letters in their final hour of need ⸻ more bodies, more guns, more strength. in exchange, the latter are promised their own lives. new names, new places… a way to start over if not for disaster’s final strike.

amidst the initial raid, the winchester’s are split amongst the bsaa’s invading troops. the sworn reunion dissolves as either troop falls to the village and its mutating occupants with the winchester’s left to survey the remains for one another; the brothers reconvene, in agreement their mother wouldn’t be found with the bsaa.

meredith, however, awakes in a blood–slicked cell with little to no recollection of the events: a pair of others crowd the cell on either side of her, tormenting her almost as much as the lady of the house. it’s from this cell mary gores her way through to alcina ⸻ plucked from therein in a moment’s weakness.
